Canicattini Bagni is the city of Liberty and music . The urban layout full of eclectic-baroque style facades represents a proceeds for the spread of the Art Nouveau style in the early 1900s. In the beautiful historic center, the nineteenth-century churches, the crypt of the church of the Anime Sante and the original urban nucleus with the first church of the village stand out.

The Canicattini Bagni tour is enriched with a visit to the TEMPO Museum , founded in 2000 thanks to the commitment of a group of scholars, is permanently located in the historic Palazzo Cassarino, and is divided into three sections: Fabric , Emigration, Popular Medicine. In the section dedicated to weaving, artifacts from the late 1800s relating to rural culture and fabrics of various kinds resulting from female industriousness are exhibited, the most important being the “ammurgate skin” and the “frazzate”.

For Popular Medicine, the Museum proposes a path dedicated to the medicinal plants of the Iblei, through explanatory panels with the recipes and remedies of aromatherapy and apothecaries.

A section that deserves is that of yarn dyeing with the presentation of the dyeing plants that testify to the interesting naturalistic aspect of the Canicattinese area. Finally, in the exhibition rooms dedicated to Syracusan emigration you can admire the objects of the Canicattinese emigrants, as well as their cataloged and digitized correspondence.
