Buy »
The traditional St. Joseph’s Day lunch is an ancient tradition.
St. Joseph is the protector of the poor as well as carpenters, so on the feast day it is customary to set tables for the poorest and give them blessed bread.
You will prepare a traditional St. Joseph’s Day lunch with: a first course, “Pasta with sardines,” and a second course, “Frittedda with broad beans, artichokes, or peas.”
Your choice: artichokes with “capello” (stuffed artichokes), “beccafico” (stuffed sardines), “sardine meatballs,” or “fried sardines with onion.”
To finish, a traditional dessert, “Sfinge di San Giuseppe” (stuffed with St. Joseph’s Sphinx) (prepared in advance).
The lunch will be accompanied by Sicilian wine.
Note: The experience is subject to the availability of fresh fish and seasonal vegetables.
