Responsible Tourism Festival between visits to the Danissini and bike tours
September 15 - September 18
For the third year Palermo will be one of the stages of IT.A.CÀ, the only Sicilian stop of the National Festival on Responsible Tourism. Now in its 14th edition, the festival takes place this year in 14 Italian regions, for a total of 24 stages. Among these stages, on the weekend of 15-18 September, there is precisely the Palermo leg of the festival, organized by Palma Nana together with Cotti in Fragranza, Libera il just to travel, Addiopizzo Travel.
The Palermo stage invites you to discover places and cultures through itineraries on foot and by bicycle, meetings in confiscated assets, presentation of books and environmental education workshops. A unique journey in many different territories, to transform incoming into becoming. By combining the sustainability of tourism with the well-being of citizens.
This year it will be the third edition of IT.A.CA for Palermo, which will benefit from the patronage of Legacoop Sicilia – A.I.T.R. Italian Association of Responsible Tourism, and of the collaboration of Libera Terra, Ecomuseo Mare Memoria Viva, Base Scout Volpe Astuta, Wonderful Italy and Al Fresco Giardino Bistrot.
“After the themes of” Biodiversity “and the” Right to breathe “, in the 2022 edition we will address the theme of Habitat, living in the future, imagining the future, concepts that have been questioned in recent years amid pandemics, conflicts, climate change”, underlines Fabrizio Giacalone of Palma Nana and coordinator of IT.A.CA ‘Palermo.
“For the third year we return to tell and promote Palermo, its stories through new gazes – adds Valeria Marino of Palma Nana – IT.A.CA ‘Palermo is an annual event, a path of reflection on the themes of responsible tourism, a moment of sharing, dialogue between actors who animate Palermo today engaged and in the social and cultural regeneration of the city ».
