In collaboration with the Think Tank Vision and with the support of the University of Messina, Taobuk promotes the second Conference of Taormina and Messina, which will welcome great voices of thought, culture, policy making and international geopolitical analysis to offer ideas and tools useful for the re-elaboration of a project for the recovery of Europe and the post-pandemic future.
Over thirty prominent personalities are expected including analysts, historians and political scientists, journalists, sociologists and European authors, in a melting of voices called to foreshadow the exit from the pandemic and redesign the “contract” between European institutions and citizens. Three working groups will be dedicated to priorities identified as crucial: global digital platforms in relation to global leadership in the 21st century; Next Generation UE, the recovery plan launched by the European Commission on behalf of the 27 member states; and the challenge of the covid-19 pandemic. The final results of the Europe Conference will be shared with the European institutions and will converge in the Manifesto of the second Messina and Taormina Conference.
