Acitrezza is above all a place of the soul. As such it offers a treasure chest of hidden treasures.
Just a step away from the sea, there is a place of beauty and ancient tradition: the shipyard of the ax masters of the Rodolico family, the last bastion of this ancient art. We will retrace the entire history of the ancient seaside village of Acitrezza, starting with its extraordinary geological genesis. Entering the narrow and winding alleys we will discover the Bastioncello, an ancient sighting tower, today set like a pearl in the urban fabric. We will cross the streets sung by Giovanni Verga in his masterpiece: the Malavoglia. We will enjoy the reading of extracts from his novel with a poetic flavor. One step away from the waves of the sea, we will meet the shipwrights inside their yard. We will discover all the ancient secrets and tools related to the creation of Trezzote boats and we will deepen the knowledge related to painting techniques. We will visit the small port, and the ancient boats transformed into a masterpiece.
