The Mediterranean Itineraries Association has decided to enhance the Palazzo dei Marchesi Pottino in Petralia Soprana as an ideal place to shoot some scenes from the remake of the film “The Gattopardo”.

Antonella, as a historian of the palace and of the noble life of the late nineteenth century, will take you on a journey through time to make you discover the noble Sicily of the late nineteenth century.

Together with her you will discover the village of Petralia Soprana and the beautiful Palazzo dei Marchesi Pottino di Echifaldo perfectly preserved, inside and out, as in the time of “The Gattopardo”.

Antonella will select the extras for the famous dance scene.

Program:

• Meeting with Antonella, casting director, and Matilde, screenwriter
• Through the streets of the village of Petralia Soprana, immersion in the Sicilian noble life of the end of the 19th century
• Arrival and entrance to the Palazzo dei Marchesi Pottino, discovery of the building where the casting will take place
• Demonstration of the original “Gattopardo” dances with professional dancers, dance rehearsals
• Hearings and meeting with the director
• Award ceremony and delivery of the contract, aperitif or lunch with typical products.
